Komodo National Park Authorized Becomes the "New 7 Wonders of Nature"

Komodo National Park in the Nusa Tenggara Timur, Wednesday (16/05/2012), was officially set to be one of the seven wonders of the world or the New 7 Wonders of Nature by the New 7 Wonders Foundation.

"The success of the Park to be inspiring example of how a community can jointly undertake to protect an endangered species," said the New 7 Wonders Foundation President Bernard Weber in his press conference release.

Weber said the number of votes via text message to a very large shows that Indonesia has expressed pride in natural heritage, which is also part of the mosaic of the world.

Komodo Ambassador and Chairman of the Foundation Board of Komodo - Jusuf Kalla reveals that the process of defining the Park as the "New 7 Wonders of Nature" takes longer than five months and counting for the clarification.

"I am grateful to the people of Indonesia who have been faithfully sending short messages," said Kalla.
