Historically why this waterfall called Waterfall Srigethuk. Myth, Waterfall Srigethuk is the location of the spirits, led by "Anggo Menduro". The spirits is like music, and from the direction of Waterfall Srigethuk often sounds like trumpet music (wind instruments) and will disappear if approached. Therefore, Waterfall Srigethuk called Slempret.
Location Srigethuk Waterfall tucked at the edge of the River Oya. It has a height of about 25 meters, with water discharge eighty liters per second. Source Waterfall Srigethuk comes from three springs namely Dong Poh, Ngandong, and Ngumbul Bleberan located in the village. The three springs in the village Bleberan, besides forming Srigethuk Waterfall, also used as irrigation for rice fields, so that residents never run out of water throughout the year. Special blessing for the village in Gunung Kidul Bleberan who often lack clean water.
