Baron Beach
Baron Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the southeast of Yogyakarta. Baron Beach is located in the village Kemandang, Tanjungsari, Yogyakarta, about 20 km from Wonosari.
Baron Beach offers not only the beauty of fine white sand beach and in surrounding areas, but also has a beautiful limestone hills and mountains incredible reefs that offer their own charm. In the month of Suro (first month in the Javanese calendar), the local population consists mainly of fishermen, gathered together at the beach to perform a ritual ceremony called Labuhan Sea. At this ceremony, the various offerings thrown into the sea as a symbol of gratitude to God for an abundant harvest of fish and the welfare they receive in fishing.
Baron is just one of a series of beach located in the southeastern region of Yogyakarta. Brackish many other beaches including beach Krakal, Sundak Beach, Beach Wediombo, Kukup beaches, and more.
